Being on-line can open many doors to finding funding information that a community group may never have known about before. With additional funds a group and individuals from that group might be able to grow and meet greater challenges than they would have previously managed. To be part of an on-line community group under one domain name will give members a sense of belonging when communicating across the internet. Being johnny@ourcommunity.co.uk rather than being johnny398457_544@somewhere_something_notnice.com will help the confidence of group members who are nervous to the Internet. As i-communities are designed to be simple, this belonging could also inspire members of the community group who have concerns about the Internet to take the step over the digital divide and join the rest of the group. Belonging to a community group is important for some people and having community groups online brings the world to the fingertips of those groups, allowing global involvement on a local scale to a local issue. It can bring global knowledge and involve others who have had similar experiences from across the world to assist at a local level inspiring others to achieve and develop together.

Inspire 1) e-mail allows people to speak out without direct confrontation, this can inspire quieter members of a community group to make their voice heard. 2) A group where all members participate is a real community group not a dictatorship. 3)
By being on-line a group is included
into a worldwide club where other
like minded groups, no matter where
they are in the world, are only a
mouse-click away. 4) An i-community removes the technology barrier allowing all members of a community to involve themselves with the group on an on-line basis.
