A Mailbox Below is a table of the information you will need. Following the table are instructions of how to use this information with Outlook Express version 5. If you are using a different version don't worry - they all need the same information so use the instructions as a guideline and consult the documentation for your email software for more information. (eg MS Outlook, MS Outlook Express etc.)
1) Open your copy of Outlook Express, go to the Tools menu and click Accounts. 2)
Click on the Add button and select Mail. 3) You will be presented with the Your Name screen. Set the Display Name as your name then click the Next button. 4) You will be presented with the Internet E-mail Address screen. Tick the I already have an e-mail address that I'd like to use box and set the E-mail Address as your e-mail e.g. example@your-thisbit.co.uk then click the 'Next' button. 5) You will be presented with the E-mail Server Names screen. Set the My incoming mail server is a to POP3 and make the the Incoming Mail Server mail.your-thisbit.co.uk and Outgoing mail server mail.your-thisbit.co.uk then click the Next button. 6) You will be presented with the Internet Mail Logon screen. Set the Account Name as your full e-mail address(eg: example@your-thisbit.co.uk). Set
the Password as your the password specified when creating the mailbox.
Please
note the account and password are case sensitive and must be entered
exactly as they were setup. If you type it in uppercase and it should
be lowercase, or visa versa, it will fail. If you want Outlook Express
to remember your password then tick the Remember Password box, if you
want Outlook Express to prompt you for your password every time you
check mail, leave it un-ticked then click the Next button. 7) You will be presented with the Congratulations screen. Click the Finish button. 8) You can now send and receive e-mails using the account via Outlook
