To enable your community groups to Interact on the web, i-communities has provided this fully featured hosting package. This package allows your community group to quickly and easily provide your members the basic building blocks for interacting with others on the Internet.

Each hosting package includes the following:

1. The registration of an available .co.uk domain address that is suitable for your community.
2. (POP3) E-mail accounts for all your members (browser based web access included as a free addition to community groups).
3. Anti Virus* scanning at server level on all incoming and outgoing e-mails to the
domain address for your added protection.
4. SPAM* protection at server level to reduce the amount of unwanted e-mails.
5. Lots of web-space for hosting a website.
6. Full unlimited FTP access to update and maintain the website.
7. An online control panel is made available on each domain account so that ftp details and mail accounts etc can be set up by the administrator of the domain. Individual control panels are available so users can set their own level of SPAM protection, on-holiday messages, and e-mail forwarders . -
8. A comprehensive online help support file is provided within the control panel and from the domain itself - a special on-line support ticket system is also availabe to domain administrators.
9. A low rate dial up is also available starting from 1p per min on BT lines.
10. Self-loading scripts are available to install photo gallery software and community on-line calendar programs (message boards and weblogs coming soon).

Depending on the needs and the ability of the community group, this domain package can either be used as an e-mail service only or you can develope it to include a website about your community group.

Websites once built can (depending on ability) include message boards, event listings, fund raising activities as well as document sharing facilities and feedback forms. Your community group can utilise as much or as little as you feel comfortable with.

This service is for community administrators only - you will have been provided with your login details as part of your welcome information. Once logged in you will be able to 'open a new ticket' to raise support requests, review open tickets and see the answers provided by the i-communities support team, review old tickets that have been resolved. Please make sure you read through these help pages and the help files contained within the control panels to see if they answer your question first.
